The birds that Arakune is gawking at are an actual species! They’re called the Blue Footed Booby, and they are both very cute and interesting looking.
Another drawing for the “Saya was here.” request! This one’s already been done by VI, but I wanted to do it as well.
Thought about doing it before, and VI completing the request reminded me to do so~ This is a parody of a scene from an early episode of the Pokemon anime.
The face that Saya makes in the last panel is based on the same face that Gary makes in the Japanese version of that episode. It was edited out during localization (although a Pokemon Power magazine rendition of the episode left it in) since it’s a face that only Japanese kids regularly make. I put it back in because I wanted to draw Saya as well~
I was having a hard time getting the font to be readable, so just in case you can’t read the dialogue I’ll type it out right here:
Ragna: It looks like this road leads to Ikaruga.
Ragna: There’s something else scribbled here.
Tao: They say some kids like to write silly notes on these signs.
Tao: What’s it say?
Saya was here! Ragna is a loser!
Now that I know who Koromaru is, I can draw him! This request makes more sense now that I know who they’re actually talking about… At first I thought that they wanted me to draw a ninja sniffing butts alongside Hakudog!

Also, does anyone know who this Koromaru that the anon asked for might be? It sounds like something you would name some dude from Naruto, but I don’t watch that show so I don’t know…

NO ASCH SHUT UP NO SPOILERS, THIS ISN’T A TALES BLOG WE CAN’T EXPECT PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU GUYS AND YOU SHOULDN’T EVEN BE HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE… In any case, sorry guys. I’ll make sure this is the last Tales of stuff that you see on this blog for a long while, and I’ll get one actual BlazBlue thing done before I finally go to sleep for the night. That was actually one of the other admins, VI who requested this one, so that’s the only reason I did it in the first place, haha.
While I’m still permitted to talk about Tales of in here, does anyone know if there’s an active Badly Drawn Tales of blog already in existence? Because drawing those two pictures makes me really want to make one… I would need some admins who were more familiar with all the games to help me out, though (I’m only really familiar with Symphonia, Vesperia, and I’ve played a bit of Phantasia too but only a little bit. Hell, I know so little about Abyss that I’m surprised that I even know about the spoiler that I referenced in the little (probably at least somewhat out of character) chat that I wrote at the top of this post…)
I was getting a little bit of artist’s block with the requests and I had the thought that it would be fun to try drawing Luke lingering in the back of my head. So I ended up with this instead of a fulfilled request. Sorry guys, I’ll make sure to get more of the requests done ASAP. Don’t forget to keep sending requests of your own; even if they don’t get fulfilled right away we do our best to get every one of them done in the end!
